Hemangiosarcoma detection test clinical trial

The Shine On Project out of The University of Minnesota is now enrolling participants for Phase 3 of its clinical trial. Phase 3 will evaluate a test for detecting hemangiosarcoma in its earliest stages, before a tumor has formed.

Eligible dogs must be AKC-registered or pedigreed Golden Retriever, Portuguese Water Dog, or Boxer, at least 6 years old, and in good general health. Owners must live in the contiguous 48 states and agree to submit blood samples for re-testing according to study guidelines.

Dogs that have positive test results and do not have a detectable tumor will have the option to receive the experimental drug, eBAT.
